A .NET developer who got tired of overpriced software and started building free and Pro templates instead.
Hey, I’m Alex 👋
By day I’m a .NET developer building enterprise software. By night I’m obsessed with one question: why do people pay $15 to $50 a month for tools they could build for free?
It started when I was looking for a budget tracker. Every app wanted my bank login, charged a monthly fee, or locked the useful features behind a paywall. I opened Google Sheets, built one in a weekend, and it worked better than anything I’d tried.
That spreadsheet became the first post on this site. Then a colleague asked for a habit tracker. Then someone in Reddit DMs asked for a CRM.
Each time, a well-designed spreadsheet or a simple no-code setup did the job. Most people don’t need heavy software. Tools Without Code exists to prove that.
Every template here is fully functional and built with tools you already have access to. Free to get started, with Pro upgrades for people who want more.

The best tool is the one you’ll actually use. A free spreadsheet beats a $20/month app you cancel after 2 weeks.
⚡ Simple beats complex
Most software ships far more features than people touch. I build the part that gets used, without the bloat.
🔒 Privacy by default
Templates run in your own Google Drive or Notion workspace. I don’t collect your data and I don’t sell it.
🚫 No gatekeeping
No email required to download. Free templates are genuinely free, with no crippled features. Pro versions add extra features on top.

Google Sheets templates are tested for a clean import into Google Sheets, and formulas are run against sample data before they ship.
🆓 Built for the free plan
Notion templates work on Notion’s free plan, so you don’t need a paid workspace to use them.
📐 Numbers you can check
Worked examples in the finance guides come from Python simulations on made-up data, and I link the outside sources I use. I’m not a financial advisor, so read them as arithmetic, not advice.
🔄 Dated and corrected
Every post shows when it was published and last updated. If you spot a mistake, send it through the Contact page and I’ll fix the post and update its date.
